Page 94 marks the first of the 4 page article that includes interviews with Bob Keen and Jeff Thomas. Front and center in that first 2 page spread is a make-up that I did during the Northern California portion of the shoot.

Not what I’d call a feature make-up but it is the first time seeing my work in a major horror publication. I think I’ll pat myself on the back a little. Pat Pat

My apologies to Sheila, who was looking out for me. She’s one more person in Hollywood that restores my faith in the human race.

When Mike (Josh Randall) and Sheryl (Brianna Brown) stake their tent in the rugged mountains of West Virginia the worst they expect are mosquitoes. What they get is a nightmare.

Sheryl vanishes. Mike wanders through the woods searching on his own and meets a God-fearing woman who says she can help.

Little does Mike know, her help is the last thing he needs. After a string of horrific events, he finds Sheryl bound to a table in a remote cabin cellar. Candles and crucifixes line the walls.

God has something evil planned…

The theatrical release is this Friday though I don’t actually know how wide that release is. If you do see it make sure you cheer when you see my deformed little children in their pickled homes.

Last week Tuesday marked the dvd release of Fallen Angels. It can be bought from Wal-mart, Best Buy, Amazon and many other fine retailers. The disc has a few nice featurettes including one featuring Bob Keen talking about the film’s demons. There’s plenty of nice footage of me fussing over various monsters.

Dark Delicacies held a release party and signing last Wednesday. It was an all star event with Bill Moseley, Reggie Bannister, Michael Kaliski, Richard Van Vleet, Rick McCallum and others. They all talked to fans and signed dvds in this super cool store in nearby Burbank. I know it would’ve been smarter if I had posted this up before the event but Hey! Better late than never, right?

Also a heads up on Fallen Angels . Tonight I’ll be in Livermore, CA for what is being called the first theatrical screening. Though I’ve heard that it played Thursday in Houston at the Oh, So Awesome Alamo Drafthouse. October 5th marks the limited, nationwide theatrical release however I have no idea how to find out where it’s playing. Though the Myspace page seems to have more information. The DVD will be available for Nov. 13 and you can find a pre-order at Amazon.

There’s was a beautiful display of the Witches Lair set as well as the Winter Cemetery set. Both created by Art Director extraordinaire Mikie Graham. There’s was also an awesome display of the Witch with Lara Grant’s incredibly rich costume and a new mask that I made just for the show. And of course Sungjib Kim’s photography was front and center to show us all exactly what it was about.
Many artists displayed and sold witch related art as well as other fabulous pieces. Prizes were raffled off and smooches were doled out in the kissing booth.Some much needed attention and funds were garnered for this very deserving little film.

It was awfully cold in Rohnert park that month and I found myself raiding wardrobe as much as possible. It didn’t hurt that I love furry hats. Thanks to Anthoiny I’ve got this great picture of me “tending” to the battlefield’s wounded.

I’ve got to get myself a hat like that.

Since I decided that time had come I thought I’d also take a few pictures of him before he heads off to the scary world of molding and casting.

We’ll have to see what becomes of him.
